I just took a look back at my numbers for 2017. Here are the most popular posts during that calendar year, three of which are new, seven of which are older:
- Robert Conquest’s Three Laws of Politics
- Polar Bear Turns Purple After Medication
- Fast Friends Protocol
- He-Man Opening Monologue
- The Father of Social-Science
- Observations from Actual Shootings
- Summary of the Fate of Empires
- John Danaher on Mayweather-McGregor (new)
- The Nine Strategic Consequences of Chinese Racism (new)
- Erik Prince’s Training Bases in China (new)
Here are the most popular posts actually from 2017 and not from an earlier year:
- John Danaher on Mayweather-McGregor
- The Nine Strategic Consequences of Chinese Racism
- Erik Prince’s Training Bases in China
- The very bottom 14% have very simple skills
- Teenagers and the Education Apocalypse

- African farmers’ kids conquer the marshmallow test
- There might be something amiss with our institutions of higher education

Again, I’m not sure what to conclude.
Also, I should thank some of my top referrers: Reaction Times, Social Matter, Z Man, Mapping The Dark Enlightenment, Free Northerner (despite going dormant!), Ex-Army (despite disappearing completely!), Outside In, and Amerika (new to the list!).
Thanks and Happy New Year!
More grease to your elbow.
WTF happened with Ex-Army? It wasn’t a site I went to frequently, but its sudden disappearance leaves me with feeling vaguely frustrated.
“WTF happened with Ex-Army?”
Ex-Army was run by two guys. One was old enough to have served in Vietnam. I believe one died of old age and the other shut down the blog. I miss them both.
Ex-Army’s wife still blogs at:
