The Dutch. Can anyone imagine, even with the aid of lots of alcohol and/or drugs, anything remotely like this happening in a mall or other public place in these United States? Of course not. Because we are the land of the free and the home of the brave! Not. I will leave the rest of the rant as a homework project for anyone not on blood pressure medication.
I was struck by how viscerally intimidating I found the sound of even a small number of men marching in unison to the beat of a drum.
Indeed, throughout most of history, posturing — convincing yourself and your enemy that you’re bigger, meaner, and scarier — has been far more important than physical fighting ability.
