Adam Curry’s brainchild, iPodder, “combines the hyperactive talkiness of blogs and the hipness of iPods into something utterly new: the podcast.” A podcast can be seen an audio blog or a daily radio show; the key is that iPodder lets you subscribe to shows, download them automatically, then listen to them at your leisure, without staying glued to your computer or your radio. From Adam Curry Wants to Make You an iPod Radio Star:
Since Curry launched his show, nearly 500,000 people have downloaded iPodder, and the number of available shows has gone from zero to more than 2,000. This past November, the BBC began podcasting a popular history show called In Our Time, and in December CBC podcast its tech show, /Nerd.
