According to TV Cuts Both Ways For Plastic Surgeons — And for Patients, surgeons are happy with “Extreme Makeover”, even if they’re not happy with MTV’s “I Want a Famous Face” and Fox’s “The Swan” :

‘Extreme Makeover’ was a hit, and it gave a badly needed boost to the plastic-surgery field, then coming off a two-year decline in business. In 2003, U.S. practices rebounded with a 32% increase in the number of cosmetic procedures performed, including breast implants and injections of the popular antiwrinkle-treatment Botox.
