But they did adapt other famous books into similar styled anime: Pinocchio, Heidi, Robin Hood, The Three Musketeers and so forth.
While highly popular in Europe, only a few made it to the USA.
Heidi in particular is still popular in Japan today; the love for Heidi draws thousands of Japanese tourists to the Swiss Alps.
