Walter Carlos’s Clockwork Orange

For his birthday, we should all listen to some lovely, lovely Ludwig Van. Walter Carlos’s Clockwork Orange famously included an early-synthesizer version of Beethoven’s Ninth:

It’s a sin, using Ludwig van like that.

    I agree it is a sin. Another is using his Pastorale symphony in Soylent Green, which I haven’t even seen but read about that.

    This is like the article you posted about using Edelweiss in the Dick Castle movie… all are examples of taking something nice and making it nasty in some way.
