   Called the department to thank him; he was in a briefing, but I passed along compliments to office on phone. Apparently they’ve received well over 100 calls already and aren’t taking any more.

   What a great guy.

   The perfectly reasonable cop made me embarrassed for the guy openly carrying an unloaded weapon on principle.
