I’m not sure what to make of this stat from the New York Times‘ At Colleges, Women Are Leaving Men in the Dust:
At Harvard, 55 percent of the women graduated with honors this spring, compared with barely half the men.
I’m evidently supposed to be shocked that 55 percent of women graduate with honors versus 50 percent of men — ooh, the disparity! — but really I’m shocked that over half of Harvard’s graduating class graduates with honors. With honors now means top half?
