I had some great results with 20 hour fasts during Lent. Early dinner the night before, then no food until a late lunch the next day. It was a common weekday Lenten practice for Eastern Christians up until about 1800 or so. They were on to something back then.
I’m a big fan of eating once a day. Admittedly this is mainly due to cutting down on interruptions and dish-cleaning, but if it didn’t work out biologically I wouldn’t do it.
