Hiding In Front

If you’re hiding from the enemy, you should obviously hide behind foliage to your front, but, John Plaster (The Ultimate Sniper) notes, you should also hide in front of foliage to your back:

During World War I, Capt. H.W. McBride found he could stand still with a tree trunk to his back and be invisible to Germans 500 yards away — just wearing his ordinary khaki uniform.
