But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well.

Weakness, yes, secret, no.

On a visit to the UK two years ago, I was walking along Whitehall Street in London and found myself amidst a large nationalist demonstration of people carrying St. George Cross flags. I wasn't sure that the demonstration was about, but I mixed in and listened to the conversations. Lots of nice, middle-aged people, obviously mostly working class, talking about where they were going to eat afterwards, or how they were going to get home. Nice folks. Nothing intense. The next day, I went online to see how it was covered in the media, and was absolutely shocked to see the blatant lies. Every story led with charges that the crowds were violent, drunk and bent on fighting with the police, followed by quotes from the authorities on how dangerous and nasty the demonstrators were. As an American, I didn't feel like I had a dog in the fight till then.
