Do you have any response to the standing point that your belief system implicitly results in historically unprecedented concentration of the means of production at the expense of everyone except faraway rentier shareholders?

If every family were assigned a parcel of land today you would cry SOCIALISM or COMMUNISM or some other such nonsense because embedded deep and immutable in your ideological construct

But if you want to get really particular about it, you could say that Thanksgiving began with the English Reformation and grew into the holiday I described in North America, an ethnocultural implicit celebration by the American Anglo Protestant for the bounty he found and took in North America.

At some point the whole story obviously wound up distorted in a peculiar way: to bleach this part out, brush those failures off as something that “just happened”, and skip over to the last part (where teh Injuns got involved).

Obviously, if the goal was to focus on teh Injuns as such, whether they saved the silly settlers specifically from the results of naive communism, agricultural ignorance or bad luck would be unimportant, and need no changes beyond slight trimming. Thus it seems this was the entire point, making those efforts a part of good old «Nevar Been Tried» campaign. Which is obviously not a short-term fad, and the subject is within its area of interest.
