Duh, the Houthis are getting their weapons from Iran. Doesn't mean Houthis have suddenly developed any industrial capacity to produce missiles, similar as Ukraine isn't manufacturing any ATACM missiles. At a glance the distance Jemen-Israel is equal to Iran-Israel, so no strategic game change here. The parties involved seem to be dealing various pinpricks while making an effort to keep escalation risk under control.

The much bigger story is of course how the Houthis managed to stand their ground against an American carrier group, after the Biden administration committing to "protecting the sea lanes".

Off-topic but I fear this is terribly important:

Larry Johnson is claiming that the Houthis successfully launched a hypersonic missile:

the reports — if true — are astonishing. The Houthi missile traveled 1200 miles in eleven minutes. How fast is that? 6,666 miles per hour. That, boys and girls, is a hypersonic missile.

The speed of sound, at sea level, is 761 miles per hour. A hypersonic missile is something that travels at least five times the speed of sound. Do the math. The Houthi missile was traveling at least NINE times the speed of sound. That means it was a hypersonic missile.

Neither the United States nor Israel, to my knowledge, have an operational hypersonic missile. So the question is, where did the Houthis get this missile?

“Large objects are limited to speeds that are a small fraction of the speed of light. That means that travel between the stars requires hundreds, thousands, and maybe millions of years. Consequently, interstellar travel is impossible for living creatures.”

If non-human intelligent life existed on Earth long before the dawn of man, that non-human life could be lurking about in some ecological niche humans do not understand.

The more immediate problem is that unaccountable elements with the US government strongly warp all public discourse regarding many topics, including non-human intelligent life. In a sane society, we could ask the natural experts, pilots, for their candid opinions, and we would probably get a lot more testimonies along the lines of the 2004 Tic-Tac sighting. In our current society, we might be better advised to study the JFK assassination and the Church Committee — not to mention that under-appreciated American scholar, Ted Gunderson.

Strictly speaking, ancient ayyys needn’t have come from another star.

A technology of massless propulsion would necessarily fuck with gravity, and to fuck with gravity is necessarily to fuck with time.

“Not much is known about Bryan’s true role with the ufologists because his work at the CIA remains classified as of 2011.”

For the first approximation, «the purpose of the system is what it keeps doing» would suffice.
