For decades, the US operated large drones for surveillance and assassination. The US Army and Marines also developed small drones for battlefield surveillance. But on one seemed to tumble to their possibilities.

That changed with the Houti vs. KSA/US/Qatar/UAE nine year war. The Houtis demonstrated that small drones could evade detection by the Patriot 3 system, and inflicted significant damage on KSA oil facilities. They also fought the KSA/USA/Qatar/UAE grond forces to a stalemant.

In Ukraine, relatively small drones have made combined arms warfare, "Big Arrow" warfare, very difficult. The detailed surveillance may have made it no longer possible. The small drones have shown that they can defeat just about any armored vehicle out there, which is not surprising, since the tops of those vehicles are lightly armored, and vulnerable to artillery.

So it looks like we are in the midst of another military revolution. Large armored columns and carrier strike groups may have suffered their own Agincourt.
