(FedGov dumped thousands of Somalis on our formerly fair city.) One Christmas season, many shoppers were robbed on the way back to their cars, a few were killed, and a couple women were raped in the parking lot. This incensed us locals. The next year, the mall owner hired off-duty cops to sit on the roof with their deer rifles. After the first 5 would-be assailants got shot dead without warning, the mall became a remarkably safe place for the next few years.
