How true. I have heard the Norks and the Chinese love to invite ‘intellectuals’ over from the west and make them feel good and show them the Potemkin villages, so they go home and praise the tyrannical regimes, telling the gullible in the west how they have seen paradise.

Being western ‘intellectuals’ they are nowhere near as clever as they think they are, and are easily duped.

Jim Donald claims from personal experience that Russell’s theory is fully realized in southeast Asia, granting the nobility a three-sigma IQ advantage over the peasantry. If true, it makes SE Asia the worst possible place to impose an egalitarian political ideology.
