Ehrlich, in his book The Population Bomb, was predicting food riots in America [to occur by 1985] due to overpopulation. A group called The Club of Rome published a report titled The Limits to Growth that suggested it was all over for Western technological civilization [year 2000 was doomsday] . Bookstore displays were filled with books like The Late Great Planet Earth that announced the end times [planet going to burn 1983].”

Professor Paul got a Genius Prize for his work.

Other stuff to include that by 1995 all persons on the planet would have AIDS. Y2K and all the computers would shut down. 2010 we would all have to wear space suits when we went outside because of ozone layer depletion. Etc.
