This has already been blogged to death – young men have noticed that the old social contract between men and women regarding marriage no longer obtains, and why work yourself to death if women won’t value it?

I’d be curious to know the minimum economic level of a young guy who wanted to be comfortable with maximum leisure time. What’s the best living arrangement (other than with parents)? What freebies are available? Etc.

I’m sure the corresponding cohort of young women will solve that problem by refusing to marry these men.

Guy sounds clueless, first of all wages are not “steady,” they’ve been gutted by government-engineered inflation. And men who drop out of work aren’t going to face the “problem” of providing for a family, the females in their economic class are given a higher standard of living by the government. If this is damaging productivity it’s hardly a “challenge” to come up with a policy response: stop printing money, punishing married men, and rewarding single women.
