With &lt;cite&gt;The Big Short&lt;/cite&gt; the logic was pretty clear: bets against so clearly overinflated and unsustainable a market were so staggeringly cheap that it wasn&#039;t that important to the bet&#039;s profitability how long it would take to collapse.  The longer it took, the closer titanic, epochal profits approached to merely fantastic ones.]]></description>
