Psychology cannot teach morality.

Psychologists claim to be “good,” but the talent required to gain a Ph.D. in Psychology or an M.D. in Psychiatry has nothing to do with right and wrong.

Psychologists are trying to take over the social function of preaching from priests.

Given the current lack of ethics in Western society, I don’t know how psychologists could possibly screw it up worse than it already is, but I am confident that they could if they were given half a chance.

I think there’s more of an explanation in evo psych terms — the last gasp effort of a male to gain status when he can get none in real life.
