I&#039;m surprised that Caplan would toot Gladwell&#039;s horn over this, since Gladwell is only a cheap opportunist &#8212; it was Ericsson and others who developed the ideas: Ericsson, K. A., Prietula, M. J., &amp; Cokely, E. T. (2007). The Making of an Expert. &lt;cite&gt;Harvard Business Review&lt;/cite&gt; (July-August ).
