He-Man flew around a pastoral kingdom in a flying car while his peasants/serfs toiled in fields with rude tools and lived in medieval, thatched-roof houses.

Skeletor was always launching projects to change this world. He-Man and his ilk didn’t like the idea of their fiefdom changing. So, Skeletor was evil for that. Oh. And the color of his skin. And the look of his head.
