Dunno. I’ve never Kippled …

Much of his work can be dismissed as sentimental, jingoistic doggerel (and I’d have to reluctantly agree) but when he hits the mark (And he does with surprising regularity) they can leave you tingling.

I like his “Big Steamers” and “The Trade” and “The Oldest Song”. And of course, possibly his most famous “If”.
