It is entirely different when the target is drawing and shooting back. I’ll bet the note of how they stood up straight and fired with arms extended would change if the target was shooting at them with a paintball gun.

If this were the case, my guess is you’d see a lot more crouching, cringing, and firing without even looking at the target, and a lot more misses.
