I think it&#039;s stronger than you&#039;re giving credit.  When looking even at similar groups, higher population density gives increased wealth.  I can&#039;t pull the numbers out of my ear, but I&#039;ve seen some comparisons done with similar places (for instance, Singapore and Hong Kong) with similar populations, economies, and the higher density populations do better.

All the caveats you have are good, but the density bit seems to be a real (and strong) correlation.]]></description>
