I found the same true about eyesight, optometrists, and glasses. The system pays for glasses, and optic shops push big profits, but nobody cares about my damn eyesight.

My vision went from 20/20 in my teens to -4.00 in my 20's. Down half a diopter every year or two. And every time it's a few hundred bucks for lenses, frames, office visit, whatever.

Then a year and a half ago I was introduced to a vision rehab clinic (Alex rocks!). Now I'm down to a -2.25 (almost half) and still improving.

Optic shops make no money teaching people that they don't actually need glasses. Insurance pays. We get shafted.

A shoutout to <a href="www.FrauenfeldClinic.com">Alex</a>.
