Joseph Moroco: The property tax for the small holder means he does not really own his land. He is just renting it from the taxing entity.
T. Greer: Here in Hawaii we often have debates over whether or not Hawaiian Pidgin should be allowed/taught in schools. I like Hawaiian pigdin, so I have formed no strong stance on the issue. This article has changed that. (Incidentally, it would be interesting to see IQ scores of kids who have gone through these programs and compare them to kids who have not…)
Gwern: Handle, as I say in my Reddit comment, Szabo was, is, and will be one of the major Satoshi suspects simply because he was working on such similar topics, but the specific claims and research this dude is claiming are hopelessly wrong and do not increase our belief (whatever it was) that Szabo is Satoshi! Scipio Americanus: Indeed, there are whole classes of fossils for which we still haven’t the foggiest notion of which way is up.
Steve Johnson: Oh, and conservatives are mindless* which is why they don’t champion it. * Mindless doesn’t mean that individual conservatives are stupid – just that there are no continuous institutions that teach anti-progressive thought. As a result conservatism just evolves into a list of things that sound kind of good to the portion of voting public that isn’t bought by the left in some way.
